12 Inches High x 5 Inches Wide x 4 Inches Deep
This piece is the full-sized left hand from the famous Venus de’ Medici that stands at about 60 inches tall. Venus de’ Medici is a Hellenistic marble copy of a bronze original. It entered the Medici collection sometime before 1638 when an anthology noted its presence in the collection. Those on the Grand Tour made a point to see it in the Tribuna of the Uffizi Gallery. It has been reproduced in many different sizes and materials for centuries.
